Your worksheet stays in your tab.

Tallyspan’s calculator processes measurements, material assumptions and entered quote details locally in your browser. It does not send those fields to a calculator backend or a supplier.

Session draft

The planner uses browser session storage under the key tallyspan-session-v1 to retain the draft through refreshes in the same tab. “Clear draft” replaces it with an empty worksheet. It is not a permanent cloud save. Browser session-restoration behavior can vary; clear the draft yourself on a shared device.

If storage is blocked or full, calculations can continue in memory while the page stays open. Leaving or reloading may then lose the draft.

Print, PDF and clipboard

Printing passes the summary to your browser and operating system’s print workflow. Saving a PDF creates a file where you choose. Copying writes the full summary—including entered notes—to your clipboard when browser permission allows. Clipboard managers, saved files and anything you send onward are outside this local worksheet.

Site requests

Loading the site requests static files from its hosting service. Such requests can expose standard connection information, including IP address and browser request details, to the hosting infrastructure. Hosting-level logging and retention depend on the service used to deploy the static site; this page does not promise that infrastructure keeps no logs.

Tallyspan does not run its own analytics, tracking pixels, account system or cloud project storage, and it serves its fonts from its own domain. External reference links load their destination only when followed; those sites have their own policies.

Advertising

Tallyspan pages load Google AdSense, a third-party advertising service operated by Google, to support the free tool. When ads are served, Google and its partners may use cookies, device or advertising identifiers, and similar technologies to deliver ads, limit how often they repeat, measure performance and detect fraud or abuse. Depending on your location and choices, ads may be personalised based on your activity on this and other sites, or non-personalised. These technologies are set and read by Google and its partners under their own policies, not by the Tallyspan calculator.

Tallyspan does not send your worksheet entries—measurements, materials, supplier names, prices or notes—to Google or to advertisers. Your browser still contacts Google’s advertising services when an ad page loads, which exposes standard request information such as IP address, browser details and the page address to those services.

Where consent is required for advertising cookies or personalised ads, a consent message may be shown; the choices you make there control that use. You can learn more and manage settings through Google’s resources:

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking advertising cookies or ad scripts does not affect the calculator, which works without them. Ads on Tallyspan are not supplier quotes and are not part of any planning result or printed summary.

If you email support, your address and the contents you choose to send are handled through email services to respond to that request and investigate reported issues. Do not send payment details or unnecessary personal or supplier-confidential information. Request assistance or deletion of support correspondence at [email protected].

Changes

This notice describes the current implementation: local calculation, a session draft in your browser, static hosting and Google AdSense. If analytics or other data processing is introduced, this notice will be updated to describe it. The planner has no cloud project storage or supplier data submission.
